The Town & Country Feed Division offers a complete line of dairy supplements, complete feeds, and base mineral mixes to meet all lactating, pre-fresh, post-fresh, and heifer diets. Our Sterling, Ohio feed plant along with Land O’Lakes/Purina feed plants in Orrville and Massillon gives us the flexibility to meet the requirements of any dairy feed ration.
 
Our in-house staff of three dairy nutrition specialists and two calf nutrition specialists provides the dairy customer with the most up-to-date advances in dairy nutrition and herd management for all stages of growth.
The goal of our feed team is to provide a “partnership” with our customers in an effort to maximize the profitability of their dairy operation.

    The major nutritional requirements are: water, energy, protein, minerals, and vitamins. In many cases, beef producers do a good job of providing adequate water, energy, and protein. However, many beef producers buy 'cheap' minerals, ignoring the fact that the availability of the minerals in the oxide form in many of these mixes are only 10 to 20% as absorbable by the animal as the sulfate, chloride, or organic or chelated, forms (when minerals are metals bound to an organic compound such as an amino acid such as in zinc methionine or organic selenium in selenomethionine) (Spears, 2003) in more expensive mineral mixes.
