Company Profile
Town & Country Co-op Inc. was formed in 2003 as a result of a merger between four cooperatives.
Town & Country is a full-service cooperative with a range of products for the homeowner, farm community as well as businesses. Our products include a full-range of agricultural inputs including feed, seed, fertilizer, chemicals, and petroleum products. Our customers can take advantage of our retail stores and our 24-hour fueling centers. We offer many services which include custom livestock ration balancing, grain merchandising, crop insurance, delivery of power fuels and home heating oil, and custom application of fertilizer and crop protection products to name a few.
In December 2007, Town & Country purchased L.E. Sommer & Son's from Don & Hugh Sommer. In 1994, Sommer's began producing wild bird foods and are now one of the largest manufacturers of these products in Ohio and the surrounding states, shipping over fifty tons of feed every day. Sommer's Wild Bird Foods carries a complete line of wild bird and wild life products manufactured to the highest quality standards. The agronomy, retail, feed and grain services will be combined with our respective divisions for more efficient services.
We have multiple facilities in five counties. Operations are located in Ashland, Elyria, Grafton, LaGrange, Loudonville, Mansfield, Marshallville, Medina, Seville, Smithville, Sterling, Sullivan and Wooster. The corporate office is located in Ashland.

Employee Spotlight
Shaun Dickinson
Shaun Dickinson has worked at the West Salem Retail location since July, 2005. Since then, he has enjoyed being active and has made friends at the workplace. Currently, he spends most of his time in the mill, bagging corn for our customers and other retail branches. Looking back, he never thought that he would ever work in the agricultural business, however, he has learned a great deal and likes his job. He is considering going to school, even signing up for active military duty, however, is in no hurry to make that decision.
He has been in the National Guard for the past 5 years. He spends one weekend a month and then two weeks in the summer in training. His basic training
was spent in Georgia, however, he was injured during that time, otherwise, he would have been deployed to Iraq. He spent his recovery time in Georgia, finished his basic training, and returned home.
When Shaun isn’t hard at work, he hangs out with his friends, playing Fallout 3 on the Xbox 360 or watches movies. His favorite movies include any with Robert DiNiro. He also likes to watch Japanese animation. His favorite meal is summarized as the typical “Hot Pocket” he can throw into the microwave, or maybe a bag of Doritos.
When asked what one word describes Shaun, his fellow employee responded “ stupendous”. He is never afraid to work, and makes sure he always gets the job done before leaving for the day. Great job Shaun! And thank you for your service to the USA!
